I have just returned from my whirlwind tour of the east coast.  I started in Washington, D.C. and ventured to Fredericksburg, VA via plane, then Raleigh and Charlotte, NC by train, and finally drove by car down to Charleston, SC for the National Multifamily Resident Information Council (NMRIC) Conference!

As the Vice President of NMRIC, one of my responsibilities is scheduling the speakers, and for this event we had three fantastic speakers. The first, Steven Robinson, Area President of RPS Insurance, addressed Cyber Liability and Coverage, followed by Shoaib Qazi, Security Officer from Experian, who addressed re-seller security policy.  We closed the session out with Tim Coker, Director of Technology from All Covered, who touched on the many different aspects of online security.  All Covered is the third party consulting company that Rental Research used to obtain our NIST Security Certificate.

The next NMRIC meeting will be held in mid October in Seattle, WA.  The agenda is going to be compliance and a preparatory boot camp for our Spring 2013 NMRIC Conference in Washington, D.C.!
