Text Box: ROPR Online Submission

With the recent addition of the ROPR (Residential Occupancy Performance Report) button to the secure web site, users are finding it very convenient to submit comments on their tenants, and the volume of reports submitted has risen accordingly.  In the past users needed to fill out a form manually and then mail it in, which took time and required postage.  Along with other updates to our service we decided to make it much easier for our clients to add this important information to the database.

This database on resident performance was established in 1969.  That is the year that we began the first resident screening company in the United States.  This database is the most comprehensive private data source available in this industry, containing more than 35 years worth of data about the people moving into your properties.  This database contains information that just can’t be found elsewhere, and is comparable to the credit bureau but designed specifically to address renter issues.

In the past these reports were known as Problem Renter Reports, because the only information recorded was negative.  In this new system of reporting you have the opportunity to report positive information as well.  As before, entering negative information will warn future landlords of a pattern of negative behavior displayed by your resident.  By entering positive information on your resident you will be assisting them in obtaining future housing.

Entering information on your resident’s performance is a great way to help the industry, and it may actually save you time in the long run.  When a future application is received and the person doing the screening views your comments, they no longer need to call you for a reference.  Those reference calls always seem to come when you are busy doing something else, so save yourself some time by entering ROPR’s when it is convenient for you.

What is the cost of the ROPR?  Absolutely nothing!  You may submit as many ROPR’s as you wish and there is no charge at all.  ROPR information is then included in that individual’s future Instant Inquiry report.  Each Instant Inquiry report that you run includes any available data that was submitted about your applicant by prior landlords.
